Schedule by appointment

This program is for priests who are in crisis situations, and therefore need immediate attention and therapeutic interventions. Crisis situation may include, but not limited, to burnt out, maladjustment or ineffective coping, consultations on personal and ministerial matters. When walk-in clients choose to stay in residence, they must bring an endorsement letter from the bishop/superior with the expressed intention to support the priest morally and financially.

The walk-in priests will be given appropriate assessment of their concerns. If need be, psychological testing will be administered. The assessment will ensure that appropriate response to the priests’ needs and concerns are adequately attended to.

In order that the walk-in program will be most effective, participants must have no Axis II (personality disorder) diagnosis and/or addiction of any form, since these issues need to be addressed more intensively and adequately in a structured program with others. Therapeutic intervention and/or treatment plan will be tailored according to the specific need and concern of the priest.
